When was the first reportings of a ghost haunting recorded? Was it before
B.C or after A.D ? And when did man first start to try to communicate with spirit ?

That's a very good question Freebird !!

Im not sure but I think they have occurred before BC...I believe a ghost was reported once in Roman times. The ghost is meant to have beckoned someone to follow it, and led that person to a spot in a garden. When they dug down, a skeleton in chains was discovered, i believe. Also, the Romans believed that spirits who had passed onto the Underworld and not "heaven" or what ever they called it ? haunted various areas, trying to kill the living for some reason ? They called them "Lemurs" (Spirits of the dead). The animal, lemurs are named after the Roman spirits, as they tend to howl at night (sounding abit like a ghost howling?), and their eyes can be seen in the dark, they light up ?

The ancient Egyptains also believed in spirits and the "Afterlife", (as it
can be seen and deciphened from their tomb drawings). The ancient
Egyptains infact used the bury their dead, with the deceased persons personal items, plus food ect for them to use in the "Afterlife".
