Emley Moor Pit :-Legand of the old security guard.

A security guard working at Emely Moor pit tells us of a story about the GHOST of a old night watchman who used to work there.

Here the security guard tells us of his encounter:- Right when we did security at Emley moor it was being disasembled ready to be scrapped and pulled down. The site had no electric at all and only one phone that worked when it felt like it. When on night duty we sat in a little cabin with a portable fire and a gas lantern, we never did rounds at night be cause it was far too dangerous. But this perticular gaurd disided to to go snooping around and before he knew it, it had gone dark. On his way back to the cabin he nearly had a heart attack when an old man shouts him over to where
he was standing. The gaurd asks the old man what hes doing here and the old man replies he used to be the watchman at the pit and had worked there all his life. And still popped down every so often, the security gaurd glad for the company took the old man back to the cabin where they chatted all night until the guard fell asleep. In the morning when the NCB men came the gaurd told them about the old man. The NCB men were shocked because they knew who this man was from the discription given he was the watchman but he had died in a pit accident years previously. The gaurd thought they were pulling his leg but showed them were he had met him, What shocked the guard the most was if the watchman hadn't shouted him over and the security man had carried on walking were he was going there was an open shaft that the conracters had forgoten to cover. After that the security guard refused to do that site again.

Wages Dept Redbrook

Another security guard tells us about his time working at Redbrook pit.
The tells us:-Along time ago when I worked on security I worked on a site called Redbrook Pit it used to have a old wages Deptartment it was big building with lots of rooms. One of the rooms was always stone cold didn't matter if it was the hottest day of the year you could still see your breath as soon has you entered the room, also the lights would turn on and of on there own. Lots of guards would refuse to go in there. Tried taking pictures and asking if any spirits were there ( yes I was a loony then as well) but never got anything on the pictures, but the other guards swear the place was huanted..
