When two police officers apprehended a drug dealer, they also made an important discovery. In an abandoned freezer, they found a pit bull puppy that had been tortured by its owner. They named the frail puppy Popsicle, and rushed him to the hospital. The two police officers saved Popsicle's life.

Popsicle won the hearts of everyone at the animal shelter where he made a quick recovery. One employee speculated the dog might have a future in customs work. Popsicle passed his training with flying colors. Popsicle searches for narcotics in trucks, luggage, and buses with Officer Rudy Carr. Recently, Popsicle sniffed out the biggest drug seizure in Texas history — 3,075 pounds of cocaine hidden on a pineapple truck. Popsicle was given the Significant Seizure award by the Commissioner of Customs, for his extraordinary work.

Officer Carr believes that Popsicle is using this experience to fight back against the drug traffickers that mistreated him. For Officer Carr, it's a joy to work with Popsicle every day. He sees a dog that could have been a stereotypical pit bull, a mean dog, but instead is a good, kind dog that has overcome a terrible situation.
