IveletThere is a quaint old bridge that passes over the River Swale near Muker,
Ivelet .The bridge forms part of Corpse Way, an route which was once taken by funeral processions from remote farms in the area , near to the bridge there is a old large stone where its said that the wickerwork coffins were one laid against while the bearers rested. Near to this stone and the bridge a headless black dog, is meant to appear as an token of some tragedy to follow.
