Based on fact,............

An odd natured urban legend synchronistic connection to an historic time that has so greatly affected us here and in the United Kingdom. The place and date by month and the, "(A) day that will live in infamy",......two years before America declared war!

Before that time Great Britain was very alone against tyranny.

Urban Legends are folklore passed on mostly by memory. Some are
recorded and make a little strange history for us to ponder.

Some catch on as folklore in strange ways. Some qualify and take years to become folklore. Some just never make the rounds. There are many prophetic UL's and here's one from four blocks away.............

Pedro (nickname) lives in Cincinnati, Ohio USA now but as a 6th grader wrote "Remember Pearl Harbor", found on December 7th, 1939 on the school's sidewalk. The year was wrong related to our day of infamy, but the majority of his message to his teacher on the school's top floor was prophetic. My cousin in Seattle, Washington was in his class, and can tell this in great detail.

Localy this urban legend is never spoken of for the most part. Many locals aren't aware of Pedro's chalk message. Most would be indifferent about it like we all were in late 39, in 40, and most of 41. Over the years there's been plenty said in magazines, TV shows, and radio. All mostly inaccurate in the accounting.

This is a prophectic urban legend that never will amount to anything but the coincidence or God wink (SQuire Rushnell) that it is.

Before the release of the new Pearl Harbor movie I talked to an AP reporter. I suggested AP look him up in Cincinnati for a first hand accounting from Pedro. She seemed interested and hadn't heard it. So much for her interest; she dropped the ball

My cousin, the actor Robert Lowery, was the radar operator in the documentary that accompanied the Pearl Harbor 2 tape set sold in the US. It is narrated by Fritz Weaver.

I doubt US war films like this are shown on UK television. Here, our History Channel will always show our need to correct the worlds repeated historical blunders usualy of the political/military kind. This unprovoked attack on the United States of America and the Free World had very many un-heeded warnings. I beleive this local legend is another Pearl Harbor warning seldom heard and correctly told.

Pearl Harbor's U.S. Naval Base Commander Admiral Husband Kimmel was born and raised 35 miles from here. Kimmel is a familiar name from this town also.

Pedro is alive and well in Ohio. So I moved his local legend to a better spot for believing such a kid's prank. A prank done long after Halloween but much more spooky in it's after the fact story.

I hope to god that we do not go through more that we can ever chew, however, the state of the world we hold our breaths and we honour those who ar dead. We honour those who still live. My father was in the world war 2 and hope that there is never another war to take its place. However, the world is at war in nearly every country there is unsettlement and also where are we going to enjoy ourselves on holiday anymore. May god help us all.

We must pray Cindy so God and ET can help us all. Prayer to include ET? Sure, why not, God allowed us to live here, but too much difference via religion's idealogy hurts all walks of life. God's life! Many here think ET has been and is helpful. But we can only help save ourselves from this new Hot War.

This mornings mail, 3/10/06 edit, included a long history of OUR conflict and it was the most informative historical record I'd read there. The Crusades ended 700 years ago, but the jihad has never ended in over 1,300 years.
