The home of the Ingleby Family for nearly 600 years. Is it
Eizabeth Ingleby, who was to become the Nun of Ghent, that haunts her old house at Ripley?
The ghost of a nun has been seen walking along the upper corridors of Ripley Castle.
The ghost is known to knock on the doors to rooms sleepling guests are staying in,
but would normally walk away unless
invited to 'come in' but if she is invited to do so,
she does just that, walking straight through the closed door.
