you have to use the colours of passion for the love spells. always use natural oil too. You see when people do these spells some times they get so carried away that they forget when spells first started everything was natural. That is why they worked.

When using your work tarot and your work crystals and candles do you put them away in a box so no one else uses them only you?

You have white candles for purity. You see what you do is buying olive oil and you put some on your fingers and from the base to the middle of the candle and them from the top to the base of the candle. You then choose the candle
that you want for love. Choose pink. If you make your own candles even better.

To Find Love

Ingredients:

* love incense (musk or rose)
* pink candle
* altar decorated with pink and white cloth.
* athame

Procedure:

Go outside and look up at the Moon, holding the pink candle in your power (writing) hand. If it's not possible, at least stand in a window where you can see the Moon. Hold the candle up toward the Moon and tell the Goddess what traits you would like in a lover and, most importantly, that you DO want a lover.

Back inside, light your love incense and sit before the altar already decorated in white and pink cloth. Visualize your ideal lover. Then take the pink candle and lightly carve the words "true love" along one side of it with your athames. Set the pink candle in a holder (make sure it's a fire-proof holder since you'll leave the candle to burn out completely) and light it.
Chant:

Moon of love and shining grace,
I would see my lover face to face.
Heart to heart, I long to be,
With the special someone meant for me.

Do not under any circumstances let other folks use your things. Also if you want to ask the candle some questions use a white one.

Preparation

Your Altar:
You may use anything that has a flat top.. I use an old trunk with a piece of plywood on it. Be creative.. As for a cover I use white because of it’s kind of a multipurpose color. Although some magic specifies a color then what ever color is specified should be used. Again, be creative... Keep in mind that candle magic is usually done in condensed areas so keep things as simplistic as you can, especially your candlesticks and censors.

Incense:
There are some who believe that incense is unimportant in candle magic. I cannot imagine performing candle magick without the incense. The type that you use may be specified in a specific spell, if that is the case by all means use that. Generally, I use three kings incense as well as vervain. Vervain gives the spell working a little umph. But then again nothing is set in stone.. Be creative.

Incense symbolizes Air... as the smoke rises our thoughts are carried up into the universe.

Preparing of the Practitioner:
Prior to your spell working prepare yourself a nice relaxing bath. Add a hand full of sea salt to get your charges set where they need to be. Light a few candles, turn off the light and relax. Clear your mind of the junk you have picked up through out the day. Visualize the water washing all the negativity away from you. It is very important that your mind be at ease and clear prior to any spell working.

Types of candles:
Any type of candle can be used for candle magic as long as it has been cleansed and consecrated prior to use. Although beeswax candles are higher in price than store bought candles, they are more powerful because they are produced from nature. As with any other tool, the candle made by the practitioner for a specific purpose captures the energy of the practitioner. Many experienced Witches will use only candles they have crafted themselves because of this.

Cleansing & Consecrating:
This is a very important step and should not be omitted. Cleansing removes all the negative energies that the candle has picked up along the way. As with all supplies you want your candles to to be as free of psychic debris as possible. Submerge the candle in sea salt and the ask The Lord and lady to bless it. I could give you the phrasing but I think it is better when it comes from your own heart.

Dressing Candles:
Dressing the candle with oil is as important as any other step. Use whatever oil you prefer or what a specific spell asks you to use. Personally, I use lotus a lot... but again that is my preference. what is important is the direction you dress the candle. To bring something to you, rub oil on the candle in a downward motion from the top to the middle and then from the bottom to the middle.

To send something away from you...you rub the oil from the middle of the candle out to the ends. Never make a back and forth motion as this defeats the purpose. Dab the remaining oil from your fingers onto your third eye and on your breast bone. Then say the following:

“I cleanse and consecrate this candle in the name of the Lord and the Lady. May it burn with strength in the service of the light.”

Then state your intent or the purpose of the candle.

Inscribing:
If you inscribe a candle you should use your Athame. The same principle as dressing the candle is used...

To draw something to you, write from the top to the middle, and then from the bottom to the middle.

To repel things, write from the middle to the ends.

LOVE SPELL

If your love has decided to leave you for some one else.
If you're your love wants some time to think if he or she wants to be with you or not.
If you are worried that your love may leave you at any point of your life then you may go for this very strong spell to change your lovers mind.
For this spell you will need:
1. Green goddess candle
2. Red god candle
3. A new unused pink taper candle
4. pink rose buds
5. red rose buds with petals
6. ground damiana herb
7. rose oil
8. lavender oil
Before you begin your circle mix the red and pink rose incense and the damiana together.To begin the spell cast your circle as you usually do. When invoking the god call in Cupid and then light the red candle. For invoking the goddess call in Venus and light the green candle. Next pick up the pink candle and the rose oil. As you anoint the candle with the rose oil speak the following words:"With the oil of rose I do anoint this candle. Now may this candle perform magick of love and friendship for those who use it."
After you have gone all around the candle rubbing the oil into it place it in a candle holder and speak the following words:
"Venus, Goddess of Love and Beauty, Cupid God of Love, I ask you to bring to me the one true male/female I am destined to spend my life with in love."
Light the candle and say: "As the flame is lit, so may it burn to you my request."
Next go to your cauldron. If you don't have a cauldron you will need something to burn incense in. Take a small pinch of the incense you mixed earlier and sprinkle it on the coal
or whatever you use to burn and speak the following words:
"I make to you Venus and to you Cupid this offering of incense to increase the strength of my magick."
Next take the rose oil again and say as you sprinkle one drop of oil on the coal:
"I add the essence of rose to this brew."
Pick up the lavender oil and again with a drop of lavender say:
"I add the essence of lavender to this brew."
Then take a moment sitting on the ground to look into the flame of the pink candle and visualize the outcome you seek. Once you have completed that release the Goddess and God and then undo your circle....your ritual is now complete.

Here's my response, a wonderfully simple but extremely profound love binding spell, using the minimum of ingredients and the maximum of heart.

You need:

Two candles, one for you, one for the girlfriend.

Write your names on two pieces of paper which stand underneath the candle holder. On a third piece of paper, write both your names and draw a circle around them.

Place the candles about a foot apart on their respective pieces of paper, with the third piece of paper exactly in the center.

Light your candle first and say:

Burn bright, burn true,
heart of (your name)

Then light the other and say:

Burn bright, burn true,
heart of (girlfriend's name)

If you have a wand, trace a figure of eight around the two candles, making sure to cross over exactly each time over the third piece of paper. If you don't, use the original inbuilt human wand - your index finger.
