I have read the posts in this section with great interest, especially those concerning Ouija Boards and feel that there is one very inportant piece of information missing - a very strong warning!
We on our team )P.A.R.T. of Lancs) refuse to use a Oiuja Board and will not let anyone with us use one either as we are very aware that a Ouija Board can create a portal for "dark" spirits to enter our plane. (This has been witnessed on namy occasions by various groups) If you must use a Ouija Board you must use the strongest protection available to you or you can leave yourself vunerable to all sorts of problems.
Please be aware of the fact that Ouija Boards are not just toys to be played about with, they are a very powerful (and in the wrong hands dangerous) tools!!!!

Have to agree there.
I always get nervous when ouija boards are used as you are creating a portall and have little or no control what comes through it.
It is very dangerous to leave that portall open also. Time and time again I have seen what I believe to be novices not shut down the ouija properly and either myself or someone else have had to step in and close it.

I know the ouija is a preferred method for some mediums and thats ok if you know what you are doing.
Personally I dont like them as I am not in control.

Totally agree Blackbird, this is the point I am trying to make. If the Ouija Board is used by inexperienced people you do not know what is coming through or, more to the point, what problems you are creating for others to clear up. We do cleansing work and you would be surprised at how many problems have been caused by the use of someone "playing" with a Ouija Board.
Please be very aware of this!!!!

Thanks for the info guys.
Through my own ignorance, I always thought that the person actually using the ouija was in control of who/what comes in through it.
It is frightening that people do use them as toys

I have never been inclined to mess with the paranormal in that way

That is exactly what partoflancs is saying.. NO ONE is in control of an ouija board

Stay away from them as they are very unpredictable

HERE's A MANCHESTER'S COUPLE STORY ABOUT THEIR USE OF A OUIJA BOARD, THEY DO NOT WISH TO BE NAMED SO WE WILL JUST CALL THEM MR & MRS X :-

Name: Mr & Mrs X

Location:Manchester England

Story date: September 1972 Story: Board Danger!

The house had my friends and I in it at the time this story takes place. The house belonged to a friend of mine, it was often we would gather here to chat drink and basically have fun. This night would prove different though, we decided to conduct an Ouija board. The board was made by ourselves, we then formed a circle and began. The board seemed quiet at first with not much if any response, but as more questioned was asked the board began to respond. My other friends and husband not involved found this amusing, I guess not believing this hocus pocus nonsense, but as the night went on this would all change. The question, 'prove there is someone with us?' was asked. The room went quiet, and then my husband's attention and several other people's in the room was drawn to the vase of flowers, in which all the petals on a chrysanthemum fell off at once! The room seemed too quiet and people were starting to feel scared. Someone cried out 'I want to stop this now', so we closed the board correctly and ended the session. I’m still not sure if the board had anything to do with the petals falling, but I do know that many cavalier attitudes were silenced that night.

The story does continue, the following week still not convinced some of us decided to conduct another board! This would prove more dangerous than the first; we began just like the last time only the board seemed more active than usual? I could almost feel the power surging through the glass; a question was asked the glass was moving very violently! This was very intimidating and I did not like it, just then the glass flew off the table and smashed on the floor! Followed by a window swinging open and a strong draft like sound! This was enough to convince others and me that these boards are very dangerous and should never be underestimated, ever! I have never conducted one since, I always find stories about them fascinating but have the utmost respect for this side of the paranormal. These events happened and taught me a valuable lesson, "Don’t play with what you don’t know!" or you might be very sorry!
