Below is my posting called "strange but true
happenings with a ouija board. The events listed below
actually happened to me :- madmart, thus sparking my
interest in the supernatural, and for me to start this ghost
forum "supernaturalearth."

Remember in my story below I was sat away from the
ouija board, was not involved with the boards use " by
having a finger on the glass" but the board still gave out
a message aimed for me, which I'll point out came true
in what the message said in my case.

SO HOW DID THE OUIJA BOARD WORK IN MY CASE
WHEN I WAS NOT DIRECTLY INVOLVED. the point of this
arguement, i believe is I think on this subject about ouija
boards is do they really work "as in ;- is it spirit making the
glass move or is someone intentionally or some how
subconsciously moving the glass by someone who want's
to believe. ?
If i was not sat by the board or had my finger on the
glass AT ANYTIME, during the moment the message was
comming through, then how could i intentionally or some how
subconsciously be moving the glass myself. Plus remember
NO- ONE ELSE who had their finger on the glass at the time
knew anything about my past so how could they be pushing
the glass either intentionally or some how subconsciously?
So was it a spirit who REALLY made contact in my case ?
And i somehow don't think it could be telepathy has i didn't
know the name of my gran's father's name.

I shall leave you all to argue over this event !! Have fun!!

:STRANGE BUT TRUE HAPPENINGS WITH A OUIJA BOARD
IN 1985 I WAS WORKING AT HOCKLEY PORT CITY FARM IN
BIRMINGHAM, MYSELF AND SOME OF THE OTHER STAFF THERE
SOMEHOW GOT ONTO THE SUBJECT OF TALKING ABOUT GHOSTS
DURING OUR LUNCH BREAK ONE DAY, ONE OF THE OTHER MEMBERS
OF STAFF SUGGESTED MAKING A OUIJA BOARD FOR SOMETHING TO
DO FOR A BIT OF FUN, AS WE HAD NO HORSE RIDING LESSONS
BOOKED IN THAT DAY AND VERY LITTLE WORK TO DO, SO IT WAS
AGREED.

ME AND MY BOSS (JUNE) WAS BOTH SAT AT THE FAR END OF
THE STAFF ROOM, ABOUT 15 FT AWAY FROM WHERE THE OTHER
STAFF WERE PLAYING ON THE OUIJA BOARD AND BOTH OF US
WERE NOT INVOLVED IN TAKING PART WITH THE "GAME" , NOT
PLACING OUR HANDS ON THE GLASS. THE OTHER 10 MEMBERS
OF STAFF TAKING PART IN THE OUIJA BOARD AT THE TIME WERE
ALL NEW MEMBERS OF STAFF AND HAD ONLY BEEN WORKING AT
THE FARM FOR 3 MONTHS AT THAT PERIOD OF TIME (JUNE, MY
MANAGER AND ME AS A SUPERVISOR HAVING BOTH WORKED
AT THE FARM SINCE 1983).

A MESSAGE CAME THROUGH BY A SPIRIT CALLED GUS BROWN
(NICKNAME- TED) SAYING IT WAS MY GRANDFATHER AND ASKING
TO SPEAK TO ME. IT SAID THAT I WAS WORRYING ABOUT ABOUT
A CHILD I HAD NOT SEEN AND DID NOT KNOW AS TO WEATHER
THIS CHILD WAS MINE OR NOT. I SAID OUT LOUD THAT THIS WAS
TRUE !- BUT I DID NOT KNOW WHO THE SPIRIT WAS WHO WAS
CLAIMING TO BE MY GRANDFATHER I SAID THE SPIRIT HAD GAVE
THE WRONG NAME TO WHICH IT GAVE THE REPLY "NO ASK YOUR
NAN ABOUT HER FATHER'S NAME I AM HIM- WHAT I SAY IS TRUE
YOU WILL SEE YOUR CHILD SOON". I TOLD THE SPIRIT THEN
THAT I DID NOT KNOW WHERE THE MOTHER AND CHILD WAS
AND THAT I HAD NOT BEEN AT THE BIRTH AND WASN'T SURE IF
THE CHILD WAS MINE, TO WHICH THE SPIRIT SAID "YES IT IS,
ITS A GIRL NOW AGE 2 YOU,LL SEE HER SOON BELIEVE ME".

I THEN GOT ABIT UPSET AT THIS ANSWER AND THROUGHT IS
SOMEONE IN THE ROOM MESSING ABOUT PUSHING THE GLASS
TO SPELL OUT THE ANSWERS GIVEN- ON LOOKING ROUND THE
ROOM I REALISED THAT THAT JUNE MY BOSS WHO WAS THE ONLY
PERSON WHO KNOWN ANYTHING ABOUT MY PAST WAS SAT NEXT
TO ME, SHE DIDN'T HAVE HER HAND ON THE GLASS , NOR DID I
AND WE WERE BOTH 15 FOOT AWAY FROM THE TABLE WHERE
THE OTHER STAFF (ALL NEW STAFF THAT DIDN'T KNOW
ANYTHING ABOUT MY PAST) WERE PLAYING THE OUIJA BOARD.

THE EVENT THAT DAY SCARED BOTH ME AND MY BOSS JUNE
AND IN THE FOLLOWING TWO MONTHS AFTER THAT DAY STRANGE
THINGS KEPT HAPPENING AT THE FARM- WE FOUND HORSES IN
THE WRONG STABLES WITH THE DOORS BOLTED AND STILL
LOCKED WHEN WE ARRIVED FOR WORK THE FOLLOWING DAY
AFTER KNOWNING WE HAD PUT THEM IN THE CORRECT STABLES
THE NIGHT BEFORE. SADDLES , FEED ECT WAS MOVED AND FOUND
IN OTHER LOCKED ROOMS AWAY FROM WHERE IT WAS NORMALLY
KEPT. A BABY BOTTLE AND A BABIES PINK BOOT WAS FOUND IN
A LOCKED FILE CUPBOARD IN THE FARMS OFFICE TO WHICH ONLY
I AND JUNE HAD A KEY TO- THERE HAD BEEN NO BABIES OR
YOUNG CHILD UNDER THE AGE OF 3 WHO HAD VISITED THE
FARM IN THOSE 2 MONTHS NO ONE COULD EXPLAIN HOW THEY
GOT THERE. FINALLY AFTER ABOUT 11 WEEKS FROM THE DAY
OF FIRST DOING THE OUIJA BOARD I GOT A PHONE CALL AT MY
PARENTS HOME (OUT OF THE BLUE) OFF THE MOTHER OF MY
CHILD SAYING SHE WANTED ME TO MEET HER IN BIRMINGHAM
CITY CENTRE SO SHE COULD TELL WHAT HAD HAPPENED TO
HER AND FOR ME TO MEET MY BABY GIRL (NOW AGE 2) FOR
THE FIRST TIME.

ALL THAT THE SPIRIT SAID ON THE OUIJA BOARD CAME
TRUE AND AFTER I HAD MEET MY LITTLE GIRL , ALL THE
STRANGE HAPPENINGS AT THE FARM SUDDENLY STOPPED
AFTER THAT MEETING !!!

Aww I am so pleased for you. You see spirits will try and contact you if they can some how. I think you are very lucky to have got to know this. Congrats by the way and I am so pleased that you have a daughter. Children are a gift. I have 3 children and have been married 20 years so far.

yes, but after that one and only meeting my little girl went back out of my life again, as her mother had gave me a incorrect address and i was not able to keep intouch with her. she be about 20 now in age ive missed
out on all those years of her growing up, i dont know where she is. i only saw her that one time when she was aged 2.

Awww Martin I am so sorry that is so sad to hear and its not unusual either. I hope you have some children now. I know you wont feel so complete but at least they are a comfort for you.

WOW good story but are you sure the happenings after were related and not a prank?

When my brother and I were young, we used the Ouija board a couple times - we didn't know any better. Almost immediately, we made contact with someone who gave their name as 'Roy'. As I recall, he gave us a vague answer to the question at hand (which, later, did not turn out to be right). Because it was such a vague answer, we tried to contact him again the next day to see if we could get a better answer. We asked to speak with Roy again, but this time we were met by another spirit who said we could not talk to Roy because he was sleeping. (!?) This spirit had a markedly different personality than Roy and called it self Harry, it seemed angry... it ended up making the planchette move briskly off the board on to the floor, I guess it did this because we were still asking why we couldn't speak with Roy!
I recall a couple of days after Harry had made contact with us , that weird things started happening in the house, and have ever since. At the time though, we didn't connect the activity to the use of the Ouija board at first.
But to this day, my brother maintains that he did not push the planchette, and I know I didn't! Knowing what I know today though, I'd not use the Ouija - it can open a door that most of us do not have the knowledge to close. Ouija is not a toy!

my brother and friend played with a ouji board in his partners house. nohing happened at first and then they started getting messages from a chinese man.
they took their hands off the planchette and looked up. a chinese mans face was in a picture on the wall. this picture wasnt anything to do with china.his face just appeared. my brother and friends stopped using the oiji board, but things stated to move around the room, like pictures and other items. they all came out of the house quick. but as he was living there with his partner they still had strange things happen for awhile.
then it just stopped.
my brother has never touched a board since.
and he disagrees with any body using them as you dont know who you are going to bring through and how bad they are.
my brother has since died but this is his story as well as i can remember it.
i do believe ouji boards arent really a good way to play or contact anybody.

I agree with diseldriver and tina. They should never be used in fun or with intent.
Some people think they are good enough to manage them and have gone years with no bad things happening. But one day you never know their world could end.
There are more safer ways to contact spirits than the board.
I cant see why in some countries the board is sold as a toy!!!! Are they mad? They must be.

Trina have you had experience with the boards yourself?
