Cats, well when I say that I should say Black Cats.
In the ancient Egypt, the Goddess Bast, was a female cat and supposely evil.
Christians preists wanted to wipe out all traces of the other religions so convinced their ignorant followers to destroy the evil demons that are black cats. While they were at it they also destroyed the little old ladies who cared for the cats believing them to be witches.
Now the British have always believed if a black cat crossed their path it was lucky. If a white cat crossed their path and then it would be unlucky. In America white cats are lucky and black cats are unlucky. Its different cultures of different countries.

superstitions can only harm you if you believe in them now i dont believe in luck. i believe that things happen in result of our past actions.
