Famous photographs of ghosts;-
Tulip Staircase Ghost
This famous photograph was taken in 1966 by Reverand Ralph Hardy, a retired clergyman from White rock, British columbia. He intended to take a picture of the spiral staircase, known as the Tulip staircase in the Queen's house section of the Maritime museum in Greenwich. When the photograph was developed it seemed to show a shrouded figure climbing the stairs, but it is strange that after looking at this picture closely it appears to me (and i am no expert)that this is not one figure but two. There is no way in my mind that a man can have an abnormally long arm as seen in this photo, to me there is one figure shrouded in darkness holding onto the bannister with his left hand that is visible and trailing behind him is the second figure more clearly visible holding on to the bannister with his left hand, caught as if running up the staircase, right arm stretching out towards the second figure, right hand obscured by the darkness.
This film has been thoroughly examined by Kodak and has found to be genuine, well it was found not to have been tampered with. A spirit caught on camera no, two spirit's caught on camera possibly.
The Burning Girl
This picture was taken in 1995 by local resident Tony O'Rahilly on the 19th November as Wern Town Hall, Shropshire burned down. The picture was taken across the road as Mr O'Rahilly was prevented in getting any closer by the police and fire service as the flames were still consuming the Hall. On developing the image and discovering the image, he abrubtly submitted the photograph to the Association for the study of Anomalous Phenomena who in turn sent the photograph and the negative to photographic expert Dr Vernon Harrison. He concluded that the photograph and negative had not been tampered with.
The Ghostly Monk
The Ghostly Monk After trawling through different sites on the internet and books on the subject of ghosts and apparitions, you inevatably come across the same photos over and over again. There really is a lack of good quality images of ghosts i am of course dismissing 99.9% of all orbs and the like. This photo was taken in the early 1960's by Reverand K.F.Lord in Newby Church, North Yorkshire. He reportedly said that he saw nothing unusual while he photographed the alter, but after developing the picture this startling image appeared. There have been claims that this is a hoax but after being rigorously tested it has been concluded that the film had not been tampered with. To me it really does look as though it is a double exposure, if it is genuine then sceptics really dont need to look any further.
